Andrew Foley
(he/him)
Program Manager, San Francisco
I'm Andrew Foley, and I serve as the Program Manager for The Thriving Initiative. I'm currently completing my pre-health post-bacc at San Francisco State University while working as a medical assistant, with plans to attend medical school.
My journey with Thriving started back in 2021 when I was an undergrad at UCSB studying psychological and brain sciences. I came on as a Program Assistant and Co-Facilitator, helping develop and run workshop series focused on holistic healing for survivors of interpersonal violence. That experience shaped my understanding of how powerful community-based, trauma-informed care can be—and it's a big part of why I'm pursuing medicine.
Now in my role as Program Manager, I'm working on expanding Thriving to SFSU and building out our Bay Area presence. I'm excited to bring this work to a new campus community and to help more students access the support and connection that Thriving offers.
