Community Garden

A look at how our community uplifts survivors and The Thriving Initiative.

Thriving, Not Just Surviving

(aka “TNJS”) is a free, seven-week workshop series that pairs specialist-led workshops with impactful, reflective self-care activities to create an outlet and a supportive community for survivors of interpersonal violence (sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking).

Thriving’s community stretches from Santa Barbara to San Diego and nationwide. Thanks to donors, clinicians, referral partners, and community voices, we’re able to keep serving survivors.

The “Community Garden” highlights community support, shares news features that celebrate Thriving’s mission, and ways we strive to give back.

The Community Mural Project

After a seven-week art as healing series, a group of survivors and allies joined together to create a mural to show solidarity with all survivors. The public artwork answers the prompt "What does healing look like to you?"
