Open Officer Positions:
Services and Programming Team

The Thriving Initiative is looking to select 1-2 graduate students as our Graduate Programs Coordinator & Co-Facilitator(s) to lead our quarterly "Thriving, Not Just Surviving" Workshop Series for survivors of interpersonal violence (sexual assault, stalking, dating and domestic violence).

Graduate students are so often excluded from campus resources. This specific survivor-centered group connects graduate student survivors with a variety of healing tools, and a community of peers and providers to lean on as they navigate their healing journeys. We proudly launched our first healing series exclusively for graduate students this fall and it was so impactful that we knew we had to search for two graduate student officers who can continue and improve upon this meaningful series.

If you are passionate about supporting others, increasing equal access to educational opportunities, and having a lot of fun doing it - this is the perfect opportunity for you!

"Being a survivor is hard. One of the hardest journeys a person can be forced to embark on. Everyone that comes into the space seeking healing and community is incredibly powerful. Survivors are strong. Creating a space for survivors to come together, and to even be excited to come into the space speaks volumes to my soul."

"The Thriving Initiative team consists of some of the most compassionate and hardworking people I know. It's such a privilege to be able to support our participants with their healing, and to do so with a group of kindhearted people who are focused on providing a safe, comfortable, and genuinely helpful environment for all is beyond heartwarming. Being part of the Thriving team has taught me how to be even more survivor-centered in my allyship, and it has shown me the impact that community has on resilience."
